“The but, dummy.”
“We were full of possibilities.”
“What does that even mean?”
“A lot of things.”
“But you don’t know for sure.”
“It’s hard to point to it now.”
“Because you have already moved on?”
“No, just that we missed each other.”
“We fitted together. Everyone told us that.”
“We could have been better.”
